Experience a host of other activities to make your festivities complete!
GEM Alternative Energy Tent – Visit and tour the Gem Alternative Energy Tent to discover what alternative energies are around the corner, if not already in view!
Alternative Energy Vehicles – See a variety of cars, trucks and cycles around the festival site featuring vehicles fueled with a variety of fuel sources.
Wellness Tent – Take a break from the exciting activities, slow your pace to better enjoy the festival. Relax with a massage, learn about holistic health and naturopathic approaches to healing.
Yoga Tent – Start your day on the right foot (or on your head) in an early morning Yoga session; experience different yoga approaches and techniques throughout the day with the guidance of practitioners from a variety of backgrounds.
Film Room – View provocative films produced to amaze, startle, and alarm audiences to action about the state of the environment; more importantly learn about what others are doing to find solutions to the challenge we all face.
Fantastic Foods – Food and diet have a major impact on your health and the environment. Eating both locally and lower on the food chain are two major ways that you can reduce your personal ecological footprint. Johnson & Wales University has prepared a first-rate menu of healthy & local (when possible) foods that promises to stimulate the palate, fill your belly, and nourish the soul. Please stay tuned for a full listing of our menu.
In an effort to reduce waste all our food scraps all plates and silverware are compostable. Please help us by carefully reading our signage and utilizing our composting & recycling program. Proceeds from food sales will directly support programming of the Apeiron Institute for Sustainable Living. Cheers!
The Arts – The Arts nurture the human spirit and inspire. A number of local artists have helped us utilize the visual arts largely with natural or recycled materials to develop signage and beautify the site. Additionally, a number of featured local artists are also displaying their work. Special thank to Wooly Productions and the RI State Council on the Arts for their support of the Arts for the festival.
