What: In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, the Sustainable Business Network of Rhode Island (SBNRI), in conjunction with Project Get Ready Rhode Island, will be hosting a demonstration of several different plug-in electric vehicles: Miles Electric Vehicles, a plug-in Toyota Prius converted by Converdant Inc., and a high performance luxury all-electric Tesla Roadster sports car.

About: The Sustainable Business Network of Rhode Island in partnership with Project Get Ready RI will be hosting a demonstration of the innovative, electric low speed vehicles manufactured by Miles Electric Vehicles whose mission is to change the world one car at a time, in partnership with the exclusive authorized representative in the northeast Buzz Equipment Company.  These AC powered cars and trucks can be registered and are street legal in most states on any road with a speed limit of 35 MPH or lower.  The advanced design AC power train is extremely reliable, with few moving parts, and offers superior power and hill climbing ability, even with a freight load. Also featured will be a plug-in Toyota Prius converted by Converdant Inc., and a high performance luxury all-electric Tesla Roadster sports car.
