Mission:
The mission of the Sustainable Business Research division of the SBG is to produce and disseminate the foundation of knowledge required to grow the Green Economy in RI.
Structure:
The SBG’s Sustainable Business Research is organized to provide information of interest to three major participants in the Green Economy.
- The Labor Force
- The Business Community
- Government Entities
Research projects intended to address the interests of the labor force include a comprehensive Skills-Gap Analysis as well as Green Workforce Development studies.
The needs of the business community are being met through the development of Green Industry Profiles (GIPs). These reports will provide a base of information from which entrepreneurs can develop business plans and existing businesses can explore emerging opportunities in the Green Economy.
Finally, the perspective of Government is considered through Environmental SWOT analysis work and policy analysis.
